EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH NEW MANAGER MIKE ROBBINS HERE

croydon-fc.co.uk have been exclusively told of Mike Robbins backroom staff.
Steve Sallis comes in as Assistant Manager and Matt Longhurst is the first team coach.
Sallis (31) arrives fresh from the Sussex County league and still plays in midfield. He started his playing career as a pro with Brighton, and moved on to Grays, Lewes and Burgess Hill amongst others. He first teamed up with Robbins at Ashford Town and again at Hythe where Robbins (Coach) was instrumental in the midfielders role.
Longhurst (28) is an UEFA A Licence holder. He was most recently was employed by Chatham Town ( Ryman League North). He also had spells in management with Slade Green and Dartford FC U21s.
“I am very pleased with the team that I have assembled off of the pitch” said Robbins, “Matt is a fantastic coach and Steve is a great leader in the dressing room. I think that all three of us will complement each others style superbly.” Mike added “Although only announced today, I know that they have been on the phone talking about it all week.”

Croydon F.C. are proud to announce that Mike Robbins has been appointed as the First XI manager at the Arena. Mike was formerly the manager of Tunbridge Wells and comes to the Arena with a good pedigree. He was formerly Assistant manager at Barnstaple Town, Coach at Hythe Town and Tonbridge Angels and also Manager at Rye Utd (Sussex Lge) before taking up the reigns at Tunbridge Wells FC.
Mike did his apprenticeship in the reserves with both Ashford Town and Tunbridge Wells. Where as an ex royal engineer, he coached the Corps side during a three year unbeaten spell.
Mike resides in Ashford with his wife and is Qualified to UEFA B licence (level 3).

The Club is to join the Combined Countiets League Premier Division for the new 2009/2010 season. The F.A. Sent the club secretary an email yesterday confirming the transfer. The CCL will provide the club with some new clubs to face like Ash United and Bagshot Lea.
croydon-fc.co.uk would like to thank the Kent League for their hospitality for the previous seasons and would like to wish all the clubs in the league all the very best for the future.
croydon-fc.co.uk is looking into providing a new page soon of the ground in the league with some breif info.

Pre Season Training will commence on Tuesday 23rd June 2009 at 7.30 pm at Croydon FC's Arena ground.
